Legend has it...a small boy would be born to this world. This boy would bring prosperity and unity to the sport of basketball, elevating it to the pinnacle of modern sports. He would become the chosen one and dawn the name Air Asia.

Critics thought little Benji was too small, challenged his up-side, but in the end could not refute the pure athleticism, which was his Airness. Only every few generations comes a person so extraordinary in his field to be called a legend in his own time. Benji Huffman blossomed to become this legend.

This page is dedicated to the basketball life of his Airness.

Brought up on the mean streets of Bellingham, his airness had to elevated his game to overcome the social, economic, and political barriers transforming his time. Later, his airness graced the courts of Japan as the ambassador of whoop-ass. Little did the ballers of Japan realize the spectacle his airness was about to bestow. Come visit the legend.

The Year was 1988; the summer of Huff: All legions have a point in their lives where greatness hits them in the face. The year was 1988, the summer of Huff. Up until this point, Air Asia was a sleeper. Getting paid to make baskets that never materialized. Little did the people of Bellingham know the summer of Huff was upon them? A form of magic took over Air Asia that year; little Air dribbled the ball like Mozart played the piano. He was grabbing rim at 14. A double double man every time he stepped on the court. The only thing that stopped the magic was the teams record (5 and 5) and little Air's shooting percentage. First Round Loss (>_<)
The Year was 1986; the shot heard around the world: Team Green (Van Wick
District) had a decent season under new coach Mr. Seilo. Little Air grew about 5 inches (13 cm) and was now a rebounding beast. Statistically, he was averaging only a little higher than the year before (all categories), but little Air's rebounds were hitting double digits. The highlight of the season was little Air's last second shot heard around the world. Not only was it the only buzzer beater of the season, it was the only buzzer beater of little Air's collegic career. Result: 5-5 First Round Lose
The Year was 1985; home made shorts and the team's lucky shoes: Team Purple (Van Wick District) started out the season with a 0-5 record, young Air Asia was not much help in pulling his team out of the basement. Actually, little Air averaged about 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 7 minutes per game. Then came the shoes! They were Nikes, but they weren't Air Jordan's, they were Air Asia's. Although little Air's statistics didn't improve much, he's playing time (due to the reaming the coach took from Big Air, little Air's Dad) and team record did. Result: 2-8 First Round Lose.
