Australia
My
trip to the Land-Down-Under started early in the morning, luckily
the hotel nearby had a 24 hour casino. I hung out there until
restaurants started opening up; then went to the harbor for breakfast.
The picture to the right was taken at the harbor that morning.
Australians
are some of the politest people I have encountered. Everywhere
I went, I felt welcomed; people would talk to me like I was an
old friend. Food in Australia is great, especially if you like
gamy meats, and no buddy drinks beer better than the Australians.
Everything in Australia is big, from drinks to food to hospitality,
everything is super-sized; it's like if Texas was its own continent.
I
had plenty of time to sightsee. The pictures below were taken
at Kuranda. I also had a chance to boat out to the Great Barrier
Reef. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to obtain my SCUBA license,
but I did go snorkeling. One of the most exciting moments out
on the reef was coming face to face with a 6-foot reef shark.
Reef sharks are harmless, but they sure do look intimidating.
I'll update my site with more pictures from the GBR as well.
